Choosing a company to work on their Supply Chain and Logistics problem was a tough decision. We had to take several factors in account. First of all, distance was a major factor. We were looking for a company that was close to so that we could easily arrange meetings with its personnel. In addition to that we did not want to waste our time on travelling in between and the firm, which we could have otherwise utilized for studying. Another factor was the cooperation of that firm. It was of great importance for us to choose a company who would cooperate with us in this project, a company that will not be reluctant in sharing their information with us, a company that will be willing to spare us some moments out of their busy schedules and a company that will help us learn. Thirdly we wanted to select a company that had implied a sophisticated supply chain process or was an integral part of one supply chain. Based on these factors we shortlisted three companies namely Qarshi Industries (Pvt.) Ltd., Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan Limited and Bata Pakistan Limited.
