Red - the Various Uses

"Red Red Wine" (sing dit soos kliphard hahahahaha "LIKE A BOSS") is the title of a song written and originally recorded by American artist Neil Diamond.

And later made famous by UB40. This song might be honey on the ears of it's fans. But today I'm not here to talk about music .
When I see the color red it reminds me of warmth , of all the nice things in life like toffee apples, coca-cola , Ferrari's , red bikini's yes , and then the best of all red wine.

Not only a magnificent taste , but it has the dark red color which give meaning to the boring grape. Red wine is made from dark-colored (black) grape varieties. The actual color of the wine can range from intense violet, typical of young wines, through to brick red for mature wines and brown for older red wines. The red colour comes from anthocyan pigments (also called anthocyanins) naturally present in the skin of the grape.

Wine in my meaning is a culture on it's own. It brings people together whether it's through wine tastings, special occasions or just a family get together.
France is currently the biggest producer of wine in the world with our beautiful South Africa 8th on the list. When you think of wine in South Africa you immediately link it to the breathtaking view of the Cape region. With it's many wine routes, grape vineyards and one of the 7th wonders of the world , Table mountain.
Wine also has a religious connotation The use of wine in religious ceremonies is common to many cultures and regions. Islam , Judaism and Christianity all of these beliefs has a specific relation to wine.
Many people may argue that the intake of alcohol in red wine is rather bad for your health. But recent studies have shown that they couldn't be further away from the truth. London - Scientists claim to have discovered the secret of how an ingredient in red wine could be the key to a longer life. This research was done in April 2012 and is thus really a new finding .
