Discuss China in terms of being the “Middle Kingdom,” population growth issues, and industrialization.
China, one of the United States leading resources in products brought in to the states.   China is one of the more advanced in the industrialized world, they are known as Zhōngguó this translates as "central nation" or (traditionally) as "middle kingdom" (China History Forum, #2, Pattie, 02 August 2009).   China supports about a fifth of the world’s population on only 7 percent of the world’s arable land (Essentials of World Regional Geography second Edition, Pg.111, White, Dymond, Chacko, Bradshaw).   .


      China’s culture dominated the region’s history, from ancient times, the Chinese instigated many of the most significant human advances from technology to art.   Until well into the 1900’s, the Chinese saw themselves as the “middle Kingdom”- in the center of the world (Essentials of World Regional Geography second Edition, Pg.108, White, Dymond, Chacko, Bradshaw).   Because the ancient Chinese believed that China was the center of the world, and the middle of the Earth (China History Forum, #3, YvesYew, 02 August 2009).   Why China is called "Middle Kingdom" (Zhongguo) originated from the concept of Sinocentrism dated back to Spring/Autumn period. It originated from the cultural-ethnic consciousness of 'civilized' and those "uncivilized barbarian" who consequently migrated into the central plain of China. Thus, the Chinese began to call the states within central plain of China...
