Problems in China's Mining Machinery Industry

There are two problems in mining machinery industry in China: First, the comprehensive strength of the mining machinery industry enterprise is not strong, the effort and funding of most enterprises in scientific research, new product development, technological innovation and enterprise management is at a standstill. Domestic mining machinery product variety, especially the key equipment urgently needed by the nation-building, can’t meet requirement, and there is the problem of low technological content of products, high value-added products, unstable product quality, low overall labor productivity and so on, which caused of the disproportionate output growth and profit growth among China’s mining machinery manufacturing enterprises. Second, there are problems in product variety, technology, quality and service, which led to the actual low contribution rate of the domestic mining machinery industry for mining. There is a wide gap between the domestic equipment, especially mobile devices with high technical content, such as cone crusher, ball mill and other crushing machine and imported equipment.

Therefore, experts have proposed ways to improve the innovation ability of mining machinery industry: mining machinery manufacturing industry should establish a different form of joint with foreign companies and domestic professional design institute, including the formation of the Group, Commonwealth, introduction of technology, introduction of talent, etc. We should establish and improve the application of the advantages of professional laboratory as soon as possible for applied technology research of product manufacturing processes. In addition, we should have to rely on the strength of domestic and foreign-related institutions, and take different forms of joint cooperation with them, because they are not only the training base of mining machinery and technical personnel, but also the origins of basic theory and test technology for mining machinery.
