College Challenges and Utilization of Campus Resources to Achieve Goals
Challenges are bound to occur as a student in one way or the other. Some people can handle these challenges; others might also find it difficult to jump that type of hurdle in their lives. There are many challenges I face in my life, being, health issues, relationship problems, religious problems, time management and many more. As a student, I believe, financial problems, academic issues and career development through time management are some major challenges I would be facing in college.
Columbus state community college has various services and resources to help students through these challenges. From my challenges, the tutoring services could be used to help me through my academics, financial aid and scholarships, together with federal wok study could also be employed to help me through my finances, and the career and advising services could also help me in planning and attaining my college degree.
Academic problems are one of the major issues I am facing in college, but with the help of the free tutoring services offered in Columbus state, I hope to overcome these challenges to have a successful college life. Each department has its tutoring hours and location and they could be looked up to help me in my area of studies, as an associate of science student, preparing for biochemistry major.
Financial aid comes in various forms, as grants, scholarship, loans and student employment services. Though tuition in CSCC is affordable as compared to other colleges and universities, it would help to gain at least, if not all, most of the tuition paid through these services. Grants and scholarships are free and I believe as an eligible non-citizen, I could apply for the FAFSA and scholarship. Loans require repayment, but not after graduation which could also be a useful tool for college life. Part time jobs could also be done,...
