As a young girl, growing up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, I began playing basketball to escape the harsh home life.  While participating in basketball, I received a basketball scholarship to Livingstone College in Salisbury, North Carolina.  As a student-athlete, I began coaching the youth in basketball.  After graduating from Livingstone in 2008, I decided to try out for the WNBA in Atlanta, Georgia. I went to the tryouts and I networked with alot of different people. That was the most amazing thing that ever happened to me. I did not make it after the second round. So I went on playing for a semi professional basketball team in Savannah, Georgia. I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to help me coach at the collegiate level. After that I decided to embark on the coaching profession, so, I applied and accepted an Assistant Women's basketball coaching position at Highland Community College in Highland, Kansas from 2009-2010.  
While in the assistant coaching position at HCC, I was offered the opportunity to return to my alma mater (Livingstone College) as an assistant women's basketball coach, recruit coordinator, co-camp coordinator, resident assistant, and other positions.  I held this position from 2010-2011.
After the 2007 season at Livingstone, I decided to lead my own basketball program, so, I was offered a physical education teaching position as well as the Head Girls' varsity basketball/cross country coach at New Media Technology Charter High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (2011-2013).

Following the season at New Media Technology Charter High School, I held an assistant coaching position at Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia before returning to graduate school.
Currently I am coordinating the youth girl’s summer league basketball. I help keep the books at the score table as well as coach some of the teams. A colleague of mine asked me when I am finished with completing my M.S. in Sport Management he would use his connections to...
