Fatemeh “mariam” Zahedi is a professor and roger l. Fitzsimonds Distinguished Scholar at the lubar School of Business, university of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. She received her doctorate in business administration from Indiana university, Bloomington. her present areas of research interest include Web-based systems issues (including culture, security, privacy, personalization, trust, loyalty, satisfaction, virtual worlds, and Web-based health care), personalized intelligent interface, IS design, decision support systems, and policy and decision analysis. She has published more than 50 papers in major refereed journals, including Information Systems Research, Management Science, Journal of Management Information Systems, MIS Quarterly, Decision Support Systems, Information & Management, Decision Sciences, IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering, IEEE Transactions for Systems, Man & Cybernetics, DATA BASE, Communications of the ACM, IEEE Transactions on Professional Communications, IIE Transactions, European Journal of Operations Research, Operations Research, Computers and Operations Research, Review of Economics and Statistics, Empirical Economics, Socio-Economic Planning Sciences, and Interfaces. She is the author of two books, Quality Information Systems and Intelligent Systems for Business: Expert Systems with Neural Networks. She also has more than 30 publications in major refereed conference proceedings. Dr. Zahedi has served on the editorial board of a number of journals, including Information Systems Research and Journal of Management Information Systems. She is currently a senior editor for MIS Quarterly. She has a number of years of consulting and managerial experience in developing information systems and performing policy analysis.
