At universities and colleges, sports and social activities are just as important as classes and libraries and should receive equal financial support.
    In a cosmopolitan metropolis, many people think classes and libraries should receive more financial support at universities and colleges, however, I am of the opinion that we should put more value on sports and social activities because they are just as important as classes and libraries.
    Certainly no other reason in my decision is more crucial than the one below. Students can apply what they have learned in classes and libraries to social activities. Strong evidences are in ample availability, but one will suffice my point of view. Nowadays college students spend all their time on reading books and cramming for the test. On the contrary, they ignore the importance of social abilities. Not only do individuals need to have a good command of content knowledge, but also they need to compatible with the others. Although some people do very well in classes and read a mountain of books in libraries, they could not get along with the others. Thus, they are not going to be qualified for the job position.
    Among countless factors which may account for my point of view, there is one we should take into consideration. The financial support on sports and social activities can spot students’ certain potential. Personal experiences are strong enough to substantiate my point. I did not have a hobby when I was young. The social activities offered by schools opened a door on art for me. As time passed by, I found that I fell in love with art. Based on the example mentioned above, it is not hard to found out that universities and colleges should provide equal opportunities and more financial support on social activities.
