2.1 Explain how children and young people’s development is influenced by a range of personal factors.
2.2 Explain how children and young peope’s development is influenced by a range of external factors:

The growth and development of young children, also the young people are influenced, by many personal factors, detrimentally affecting certain children, more than others. The impact can be positive as well as negative. For example, the opposite of poverty is wealth and a child growing up in a home with no financial worries, may be well fed, and clothed; they may have plenty of opportunities for educational development.
However, disadvantages have a different influence, when they have not come from a loving and supportive family background.
All who work with the said child or young person need to be fully aware, of these factors? They will need to be encouraged for them to participate, and develop as much as they possibly could.
Personal Factors (Pupils Health):
Many factors influence a child/young person development. Before birth or after birth, development may be affected.
Antenatal, this is the phase from conception to birth. For the duration of this period, primarily the standard of living of the mother affects the development of the child.
When the mother smokes or takes drugs they become ill, suffers from anxiety attacks, consequently this can lead to premature birth plus health problems. For the baby such as, low birth weight; undeveloped organs; problems with sight, along with hearing problems or deafness, which can result in the delay of their speech and language development, this can have an enormous impact on their personal well being.
Prenatal, this is the actual time of birth. Babies born before 37 weeks are premature babies. They may need intensive care, which will affect the development.
