Clint Hill
Clint Hill’s presentation was a lot like the book Mrs. Kennedy and Me. Clint talked about how close he and Mrs. Kennedy had become. He shared stories of the trips he and Mrs. Kennedy took. Clint stated that the secret service agents were treated like family by all the Kennedys.
Clint showed a few home videos that were interesting to watch. My favorite video was of Clint and John Jr. on a speed boat at Hyannis Port. Clint had a cigarette hanging out of his mouth, and he was hanging John Jr. over the back of the boat showing John how the propellers worked. Clint stated that the secret service spent most of the day on a speed boat taking John Jr. to the Honey Fritz, and taking John back to shore. Clint also showed pictures from the book, and a few personal ones that were not in the book.
I think the presentation would have been more interesting if the audience was able to ask Clint questions. It was a little disappointing that the students had to watch the presentation in a different room. I was expecting to hear more personal stories about the Kennedys that were not in the book. It would have been nice to have seen more personal pictures and videos.
Overall I enjoyed the presentation; even though, I did not learn anything new. It was a once in a life time opportunity to listen to Clint Hill speak, and I am glad I went.
