Abstract:
Dye-sensitized solar cell (DSC) is a promising alternative solar cell to the conventional silicon solar cell due to several advantages. Development of large scale module is necessary to commercialize the DSC in the near future. And electrochemical technology is played a significant role in the development of DSC.These electrochemical methods is widely researched by scientists from different countries.

Key words:
Electropolymerization ; dye-sensitized solar cell ; Electrodeposition

Introduction
In light-collecting devices, such as solar cells, color sensors, etc., the device performance can be significantly improved with a carefully designed surface layer that enhances absorption thanks to a large surface area and assures fast and efficient carrier transfer from the active region of the device to the contacts. For dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSC), a breakthrough happened in 1991, when O'Regan and Grätzel 1 proposed to substitute the previous flat zinc oxide photoelectrode by a layer composed of titanium dioxide nanoparticles in order to increase the surface area.

There is a global challenge to capture and utilize solar energy for a large-scale sustainable development. Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSC) represent a highly promising approach to the direct conversion of light energy into electrical energy at low cost and high efficiency.Attractive feature of the DSSC is that, it allows the system to have a wide choice of photosensitizers, like, transition metal complexes, metal free organic dyes, metalloporphyrins, and phthalocyanines.

In order to further improve the performance of DSSC, extensive research has been conducted on each constituent of the solar cells such as semiconductor nano-crystalline, dye molecules, electrolytes, and counter electrodes.

From the pioneering work of Grätzel on dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSC), it has received...
