I. Free Trade Zones in UAE
1.1 Introduction
    Free trade zone - is an area within which goods may be landed, handled, manufactured or reconfigured, and reexported without the intervention of the customs authorities.
    Free trade zones exist all over the world. Most of them are located in developing countries: Brazil, Colombia, India, Indonesia, El Salvador, China, the Philippines, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Mexico, Costa Rica, Honduras, Guatemala, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Madagascar and the UAE.
1.2 Free Trade Zones in UAE
    In the UAE there are 50 free trade zones. This number is high because of the following reasons:
1. United Arab Emirates are a highly stable economy.
2. UAE have a good political climate.
3. UAE have strong association with oil industry that is indeed a richest industry in whole world.
4. A liberal economy that is fully integrated with the world economy.
5. UAE’s government works on industries to improve and modernise its infrastructure.
6. UAE have an image of the most industry friendly country in the world: tax policy, subsidiaries and incentives from the state and municipal governments.
1.3 Free Trade Zones in Dubai
    30 Free Trade Zones out of 50 are located in Dubai – the business capital of the Middle East. Dubai has approximately 21 free trade and industrial zones (that are heavily catering to a wide range of business sectors or actvities, such as media (Dubai Media City), manufacturung (Jebel Ali Free Zone) and financial services (Dubai International Financial Centre)
    It has a wide range of opportunities for different activities and operations. Among the many reasons to make a base in Dubai and invest in the city are:
• The city is strategically located between Europe, Asia and Africa and attracts approximately 5 million investors and tourists on an annual basis.
