Functionality
  * Review the documentation for the type of card you want to implement.
  * Add the pertinent meta tags to your page.
  * Run your URLs against the validator tool to be approved.
  * After approval, tweet the URL and see the Card appear below your tweet.
  * Use Twitter Card analytics to measure your results.

Types of Cards
  * Summary Card: Default Card, including a title, description, thumbnail, and Twitter account attribution.
  * Summary Card with Large Image: Similar to a Summary Card, but offers the ability to prominently feature an image.
  * Photo Card: A Tweet sized photo Card.
  * Gallery Card: A Tweet Card geared toward highlighting a collection of photos.
  * App Card: A Tweet Card for providing a profile of an application.
  * App Installs and Deep-Linking: An extension to any Card that provides app download and deep linking.
  * Player Card: A Tweet sized video/audio/media player Card.
  * Product Card: A Tweet Card to better represent product content.

How to update the website code to include the Twitter analytics information

Approach 1 – If our site is developed using WordPress
Install the plugin WordPress SEO by Yoast

Step 1 Go to the SEO Options (should be at the bottom, left of your admin panel) > Social.

Step 2 Find the Twitter Section at the bottom and add your Twitter username.

Step 3 Check under “Users” that your WordPress profile has your Twitter account @handle, not the full URL.
