Why do I play Basketball

Basketball is everything to me. I look forward to it all year. Even though other sports interest me, nothing comes close to basketball. It may cut into my social life, but it doesn’t change the way I love the game. I play basketball whenever I can and I would never get tired of it. Basketball is one of my favorite sport that I like to play. There are many reasons why I love to play the game of Basketball but I also love to watch the game also.

Basketball in my opinion the best thing I can do with my friends to have fun while burning a few calories. It is a sport that can work your whole body.  I see basketball as a fun and easy way to have fun rather than sitting on the couch all day playing video games or watching television. Even though I’ve really only played for 3 years I feel like I’ve played my whole life. After the game I have this sense of accomplishment and I know I tried my hardest, even if I didn’t have the best game, and I think about what’s going to happen in the next game.

I love my team. We’re all close together. We act like we’re family. We all have each other’s backs and can trust each other with anything. I always try my best to help my teammates in basketball or anything else. There’s no end to what we would do for each other and I love knowing that I have so many people behind me that always have my back. My favorite player to watch is Michael Jordan. “I've failed over and over and over again in my life and that is why I succeed”. MJ

Playing basketball is the one thing I know I will always love to do. When I grow up I want to do something with basketball or just sports in general. People say to do the things you love in life and what would be better than playing basketball every day.
