How does IKEA generate customer loyalty?
Customer loyalty is continued business by attract the right customer, get them to buy, buy often, buy in higher quantities and bring you more customers.
IKEA use low price, fashionable design and providing better service to generate customer loyalty. Most items from IKEA are boxed and required customers complete the furniture at home, this can saved the transportation cost.   IKEA stores always get a good distance from city centres, which also can cut down the total price by lower the land costs. IKEA has very fashionable design and fit into the local custom.   IKEA provide a better service through long opening hours, some of the stores are even 24 –hour stores.   IKEA focus on meet customers required from all over the world by provides a lowest price.
Customer loyalty can be achieved by communication with the customer, good service and meet customer’s requirement. It is not easy to build up but a right customer loyalty can bring huge profit for company.

Consumer behaviour is the study of how individuals, groups, and organizations select, buy, use, and dispose of goods, services, ideas, or experiences to satisfy their needs and wants. There are three major factors can influence consumer’s purchasing behaviour, culture, social and personal factors.
IKEA provide uniformly products in different countries all over the world, however they also change a little bit to fit the local custom. For example, IKEA stocked huge amount of plastic placemats before Chinese holiday, and it sold out quickly. It changed a big size of drinking glasses and designed deeper drawers in U.S..   There are colourful palettes and more pictures on the wall of stores in California. IKEA consider the culture factors that made their product to meet the local people.
