The idea that loans owed by some of poorest nations should be written off has been welcomed by anti-poverty campaigners. Personally, I wholeheartedly support the elimination of third-word debt due to its wonderfully proper and appropriate gesture at this moment in history.

The argument in favor of rejecting debt forgiveness would be that it has no impact on cultivating the economy of the developing countries much because the developed ones would find other ways to get the money back. For example, lowering the tariffs to some high-technique devices would reduce the consuming of domestic products. However, I believe this is a short-sighted view, by demising the debt accrued, the rich nations can ease the financial burden of already strained governments and societies. Those poor countries could then focus on redirecting money that would otherwise be going towards paying interest on large debts into improving infrastructure, for instance.   Ultimately, the benefits of increased productivity would be raped by all parties in terms of trade and research.

Importantly, countries that are financially stable would help the less stable in order to create a more united world. It seems like every nation is striving for “world-peace”, and collaborate more ways to show solidarity. Obviously, by helping each other eliminate   debt, the world’s countries can work together to create a better situation for the world’s residents.

In conclusion, from what mentioned above, I believe that the eradication of poverty and suffering is very necessary, thus, international communities should show sympathy and support for under-developed countries to nurture the sustainable development of the world.
