Maintenance of Kosun Drilling Mud Decanter Centrifuge

Since the decanter centrifuge http://www.kosungroup.com/products/solids-control-equipment/decanter-centrifuge.html is a kind of high-speed equipment, its safety performance is very important, so it is necessary to check it at regular intervals during use. The items for check are listed as follows:

1.Cycloidal-pin gear differential

Inject a certain amount of 3# lubricating grease in differential to lubricate the bearing, reduce abrasion between cycloidal gear and needle rollers and help heat dissipation. Open two screw plugs on differential housing and a screw plug at input shaft head, and inject lubricating grease into the screw hole at input shaft end with grease gun. Internal air or used lubricating grease is squeezed out of two screw plug holes on housing, till the lubricating grease overflows about 200mm out of two screw plug holes, and then tighten screw plugs at all positions.

2.Main bearing

Main bearing adopts the grease for lubrication. If no lubricating grease is injected before startup, the bearing will be burned out soon. If the bearing is not lubricated after startup, immediately find out causes (see Common Failures and Solutions for details).

3.Lubrication for conveyor bearing

Separately inject about 150g 3# lithium grease with grease gun into oil filling ports on shafts at small and big end plates.

4.Maintenance

The valid period of oil seal is six months since the centrifuge leaves the factory, change oil seal when the valid period expires and the product shall be stored indoors. Wearing parts of the centrifuge shall be replaced and cleaned in time to guarantee normal operation of the machine.

When shutdown, stop the feed pump, open the clean water valve to feed water to centrifuge and keep the centrifuge running for 10~15 minutes.
