Oil Field Desander Screen Installation and Maintenance

Desander is the second-stage drilling mud solids control equipment, which is widely used in all oil fields all over the world. It plays an import role in the solids control system, which has a variety of devices, including shale shaker, mud cleaner, vacuum degasser, decanter centrifuge, as well as several other auxiliary units.
In oil field drilling mud management area, desander of KOSUN is a combination of drilling fluid cyclone desander and drilling fluid shale shaker. The cyclone is made from high-chromium cast iron. The lower small-sized shale shaker for desander is an elliptical motion shaker and the vibrator is driven by a vibrating motor, which makes the whole screen box vibrate in an integral forward elliptical motion.
KOSUN desander screen installation quality will bring a direct influence on service life and performance of screen. Any artificial damage to screen in use is prohibited. When being installed, the screen cannot be stretched too loosely, or the screen will beat the channel protectors while the shaker works, which damages the screen soon. However, the screen cannot be stretched two tightly, or the screen will be damaged sooner or be directly torn due to excessive prestress.
If the channel protectors are uneven or damaged, flatten them or replace them with new ones.
Clamp locking mechanism is used to fasten the screen and tighten the draw bar with draw bolts. When replacing screens every time, inject appropriate LGHP2 lubricating grease into the clamp locking mechanism, so as to prevent it from rusting.
It is prohibited to use shovel, other iron wares or hard objects to shovel, scrape or strike screens. Select screens with different meshes according to different drilling fluid properties. On the premise that the drilling fluid does not overflow screens, try to select finer screens to achieve better results.
