Swim Team Captain
Becoming swim team captain would be an honor. When I first signed up for the Center Line High School Swim Team freshman year, I had no idea what I was getting into but once I got into it and performed, swim became a passion for me. I believe that the qualities of a captain should include being responsible, friendly, talkative, motivating, encouraging and supportive to the team. I have shown these qualities through many programs I have been apart of, such as a link crew member and being section leader in center lines band.   I do believe that I have these qualities and have shown all practices and meets. I have always been on time to all practices and meets. I am a team player.   Team Captain(s) have a lot more responsibilities than most people realize. For the most part, they are not simply people that are the best swimmers on the team (which I know I am not and I feel I have come a long way since freshman year). A team captain is a fellow teammate that takes control at all times and gets the team pumped up and ready for the meet. The captain(s) has to always uphold his composure and set good examples to team mates at all practices and especially at meets since we are representing our school.   If you choose me as captain I will do the very best I can, and be at every practice and every meet (unless I have a band concert which is a grade).
