TMA03:
Statement of Ethical Consideration
I confirm that I am currently meeting the pre-requisites for E105 as set out in the pre-registration information for students and have a valid Agreement with Confirmer Form.
For this TMA I have only used material drawn from the setting identified on my employer Permission Agreement Form.
In this TMA I have adhered to the E105 ethical guidance by:
  * Making sure all names of children, adults and the setting are changed within my assignment so that the identity of anybody involved is not revealed and confidentiality is kept
  * Making parents/carers aware of my course and explaining what my observations entail and why I would like to observe their child
  * Filing written consent from any parents/carers of children involved in my observations
  *   Keeping the opportunity open for any questions/concerns to be asked and answered
  * Making sure each child involved is asked are they content/happy if I observe them and what will happen and why.
Task 1:
In my assignment I intend to write an essay about parental involvement working in partnership with myself and colleagues. I propose to reflect on effective ways in which we work and develop partnerships to the advantage and benefit of each child’s learning and development. I will also be writing a reflective account with evidence on how this partnership is put into place, maintained and research to improve this for the child’s benefit and put into place were necessary. Also I will discuss and analysis the Pen Green Loop to see if this is helpful to keeping the pathway of exchanging information open. Finally I will write a self-reflection to evaluate my assignment for good and bad features.
My understanding of the Pen Green Loop (PGL) is that it is a loop to involve all participants in a child’s life in-order to get the full potential through learning and development. It helps us as practitioners to keep a communication path open so each child gets the best...
