Introductory Paragraph: Hello and welcome. My name is Quialetta Harris. I’m from Tulsa, Oklahoma. First off let me thank you for coming out today to hear my presentation on Youth and Family Discoveries Recreation Center. And at the end of this presentation I would like to invite you to share any of your questions, thoughts, or concerns you may have on this new proposal.
  1. ROOM #1 – Infant Room
Paragraph 1. Bright Beginnings Program (Early Childhood Development)
  * Research has shown, “that early learning programs, such as child development centers, help children’s earliest teachers-their parents-better prepare the children for school success” (Moodie, Shannon; Ramos, Manica. (2014)).
  * The Youth and Family Discoveries Recreation Center’s Early Learning Programs will help boosts the development of infants by offering early learning readiness of all aspects and elements of an infant’s development.
  * The Bright Beginnings program addresses the comprehension development of infants by supporting their brain development.
Paragraph 2. Creative Genesis Class
  * Research has shown, “that learning isn’t just repeating what someone else says; it stimulates active thinking and experimenting to find out how things work and to learn firsthand about the world around them” (Moodie, Shannon; Ramos Manica. (2014)).
  * This activity encourages infants to explore the world around them. Such as touch, taste, hearing, smell, and sight. And using different objects will help infants learn about size, shapes, colors, and gross motor skills.
  * This activity addresses exploring objects through the five senses.
