INCIDENTS THAT HAVE CHANGED MY LIFE

I felt there had been two incidents or situations in my life that  had a great impact over me. The first one took place when I was studying my tenth .I was nominated for the post of head girl of the school which was unexpected. After the nomination was announced I had a week before the elections for campaigning. Many thoughts used to go through my mind as of how to win people. Those thoughts changed me a lot. In the effort to win minds I started identifying a new me in myself. I began broadening my views and opinions. I started to feel a kind of belonging to everyone .Finally I won the elections which gave me immense confidence in myself. It was a great responsibility. I carried this out with a lot of pleasure and tried to give my best .As a result I won the love and respect of people, which hugely motivated me to grab any upcoming opportunities that would give me a chance to take responsibility and leadership. The second one took place in my engineering first year. Our college gives scholarships for rural students who have topped the 12th exam by studying in government schools. So I had a few rural friends. My friendship with them changed me a lot. I realized that they were deprived of the basic things without which we can never imagine our lives. I was amazed by their strong will and inspired by the struggle and the battle they fought to achieve their goals despite of being deprived of most necessary things in life. It really changed the way I think and my view towards the world. From then I started getting satisfied with the things I could get, than craving for what is not available.
