Standing for “Country of Integrity”, Burkina Faso is the great capital of African cinema. In

fact, it is known through all Africa and around the world for making good movies. What are the reasons? The Burkinabese government invests a lot of money in cinema especially production, distribution and training. This really helps film makers do a great job which is recognized everywhere.



First of all, the Burkinabese government has made cinema a national priority. Therefore,

considerable support has been established in order to help film-makers in the production of

their films. Therefore, every year, many directors and producers receive financial support and even materials. Many materials very sophistry has been bought by our government and that make easy the production of the movies. They even help film-makers to turn into this new technology which is numeric cinema. So the production of the films is very encouraged by the authorities which still help all producers who want to make this country know around the

world.





Secondly, Burkinabese movies are available all around the world. This distribution has been

facilitated by the government. In fact, after the shooting of the movies, our government help

producers share their work with the rest of the world. Therefore, many films are appreciated around the world, and even some of them have been translated into many languages. Also,every two years, a big festival of African movies FESPACO is organized in Ouagadougou,the capital and it consists to award African movies which have been produced during this period. So, all along this festival which brings fans together, producers share their work and their culture.





Finally, the key to the success of the Burkinabese film industry is definitely the training. In fact, to produce exciting movies, producers and actors must have training. So, the African school of cinema, INAFEC,...
