Cricket Cricket is the fast growing sport which is considered to be the second most played game in the world after football. There are 11 players on each side and 2 umpires on the field to referee the match events. In one day internationals (ODI) both teams get a chance to bat and bowl for 50 overs, each over consists of 6 balls excluding wides and no balls. The team that scores the most runs in the 50 overs win. The test format is a bit different; the team that bats first is to declare or have to be bowled out in order for the other team to bat. When this team declares or gets bowled out, the team that batted first takes another turn at batting. Their score is added to the first score and whoever scores the most runs after batting 2 innings wins the match. Test matches can be drawn if the match is not finished within 5 days while the ODI format will only be drawn if both teams score exactly the same amount of runs at the end of both innings. The ODI format is known to be more exciting and explosive because the overs are limited, the test format is known to be quite sluggish and boring because the batsman take their time as the amount of overs are unlimited.
