Act 1   Shelia   She says   p.3   ‘… I don’t believe I will…’ p. 17   ‘… oh – how horrible…its just that I cant help thinking about this girl – destroying herself so horribly…’ p.18 ‘… you talk as if we were responsible…’ p.19 ‘… it is a rotten shame…but these girls aren’t cheap labour – they’re people… ’ p.22 ‘… you knew it was me all the time, didn’t you…’ p.23 ‘…so I am really responsible...’ p.23 ‘… I caught sight of her smiling at the assistant and I was furious with her…at least I am trying to tell the truth’ p.24 ‘…oh shut up, Eric. I know, I know. It’s the only time I have ever done anything like that, and I will never, never do it again to anybody…’ p.26 ‘…of course he knows.
