  Located in the heart of the capital, Sword lake, is noted for a legend that Le Loi king returned the mystical sword to a giant tortoise residing under the deep water. It is also one of places of interest for its scenic and ancient beauty.
  Viewing from a height, magnificent Sword lake is likened to a shining greenish pearl reflecting the clear blue sky. Surrounding the lake, rows of verdant willows and sesames silhouetted against the surface of the limpid water. To the impression of visitors, crawfish-like curved scarlet bridge which called The Huc bridge is the first thing one notices upon approaching the lake scenery. Built on a small island to worship General Tran Hung Dao and the Van Xuong scholar, Ngoc Son temple is accessible by walking sideways across bridge. Annually, there are hordes of both local and foreign tourists flocking to there on special occasions. In the middle of the lake, not far from sacred temple, an islet lies quaint Turtle tower.
  Strolling around lake area in the early morning, one can not help but be delighted by fresh and tranquil atmosphere there against the hustle and bustle of the city.
