“WHO AM I?”
Most people can live their lives knowing what to do and what goals they want to accomplish. People such as doctors and lawyers know their position they are in. Do they know why they are there? Or maybe how they got there? Many people don’t, all they care about is the present.   I think some people need to take some time out of their busy lives and ask themselves, “Who am I.”
I know that I am just a teenager trying to learn about life.   Right now I think I know a lot, but I don’t.   Many teenagers, such as me, think about what they want to be when they are older. What we really need to know is who they are right now. Once I know who I am right now, I can then rightfully predict what I will do with my life. I believe in taking life as it comes. I like to make short term goals and base my future goals on what I have already accomplished.
So I’m thinking about who I am and I can think of many things such as: baseball player, guitar player, brother, child, and among other things a friend. But what I really am is a teenager. There is no other way to explain myself. I’m just an adolescent that appreciates life for the moment and not the big picture. I don’t think about college when I am sitting at home procrastinating my homework. As Forest Gump’s mom says “life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get.” I like this quote because it is true. I never know what is going to happen; I am not a psychic. My life is exciting because I don’t know what is around the corner. Think of Christmas as a kid. Did you ever find your presents in the closet the week before Christmas day? If you did then you probably weren’t excited that special morning with all of your family.
What I look forward to in life is simply not knowing what to look forward to. I am all about surprise. I can think of a goal and accomplish it however I can’t make a resolution. A resolution overwhelms me. It is nearly impossible for me to think of something so big, such a...
