Every man, young and old has tendency to deviate from norm.   He or she may injure or hurt others.   For young schoolchildren, they like to break school rules, disobey family household and become disobedience at last.   Meanwhile, some adults rather break laws for their own interests.   As a result, these behaviors risk the lives of others.

In every family, school and society, there should be a unit in which everyone has freedom to do right and work for good of all.   Moreover, the economic, social and mental development of young children is important during their ages of puberty.   Therefore, the rules and regulations are essential for this development to be smooth.  

On the other hand, the punishment is a deterrent for breaking of rules and commitment of crime.   In some families, the parents will subdue their children’s disobedience with no television for a week, grounded for a few days, taking away of computer game time of their children and other various forms.

In school, the students who are involved in the cases of truancy, bullying, stealing, disrespect to teachers and not doing schoolwork should be given disciplinary action.   All proper and right disciplines have to be taught by teachers in school. The deterrent must be followed by counseling at the same time.

In society, for those who are breaking the laws by doing crimes vary from stealing to murder, the imprisonment for their life will become a deterrent effect on criminal and would-be criminal.   Moreover, the death sentence for murderers and eye for an eye are some justifications removal of danger to society.

As a conclusion, punishment is a society’s way to maintain law and order and moral standards.   It is an essential to maintain public freedom guarantees each and everyone’s freedom.
