Should People Follow a Vegetarian Diet to Lose Weight?
At this time vegetarianism has become one of the most popular diet
within people facing obesity problems. This kind of diet totally eliminates
the intake of meat, and in some cases it stops the nutrition   with dairy
products. However, not being a vegetarian person can also be good diet if you
know what to eat, when to eat, and the daily portion that you must eat. My
purpose in this essay is to tell everyone one that becoming a vegetarian is not
the best way to be on a diet.
Nowadays, health has become the priority that every person and also the
Government is taking care of. Health is a delicate part of our life that we
can not play with. I used to be a vegetarian person who was very strict about
the diet. My diet lasted around three years. On my diet, I would only eat only
vegetables such as carrots, broccoli, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and
cauliflower.   However, there was a moment that I stopped being a vegetarian
because I realized that I was not consuming   the proteins and calories that my
body needed. Eating only vegetables does not provide many proteins,
carbohydrates, and calories that we need to have in order to survive. In other
words, eating only vegetables does not help our body to develop. For instance,
once, I was feeling that my bones were very weak, and I was asking myself the
reason for it. Therefore, I went to do the doctor in order to see what was
happening to me. As soon as the doctor saw me, he realized that I was a
vegetarian person who did not even drink milk. As we know the most powerful
source in calcium is the milk, and that was what I was missing in my diet. As a
result, I stopped being a vegetarian and became a non vegetarian.
Moreover, the fact that we are not vegetarian does not mean that we
are going to become fat people. In fact, being a non vegetarian person
combined with a routine of exercises is an option that will keep you healthy.
