Children going into foster care? I think not.
Foster care refers to the care for children who are involuntarily removed from their biological parents due to dysfunctional situations such as being abused, neglected, or abandoned. They are then placed in the state's custody and reside with stand-in parents also known as foster parents. The main goal for the foster care system is reunification with their biological parents. However, these children should not be reunified with their biological parents. If their parents did it once, what makes you think that they won’t do it again? These children should rather be placed into an orphanage where they can be adopted by someone who will love them and care for them.
A visit from a CPS (Child Protective Services) investigator may be a little confusing and stressful in the long run. CPS receives and investigates reports of child abuse or neglect. Once Child Protective Services receives the report they investigate. The investigator will record and videotape every interview at any time or place. He or she will first talk to the child reported and visually examine the child. Then the investigator will discuss the report with the alleged person to try to gain an explanation about the harm. The alleged person has the right to ask all the questions he or she may have. However, it is illegal for the investigator to tell the alleged person who made the report. Once the investigator interviews the alleged person to have abused or neglected the child, he or she may obtain a criminal history of the alleged person. The investigator may also interview and examineany other children in the home. The investigation may take anywhere from fourteen to thirty days. During that time the investigator will determine whether or not the alleged person is guilty. Child Protective Services will not remove the children from the home unless there is danger or proven guilty....
