Throughout history there have been many valiant, intrepid, superhuman heroes who usually have superpowers, rescue the girl of his dreams and save the day.   These heroes often become too predictable and it is almost as if the same story is being retold time and again.   This hero however does not have superhuman strength, cannot fly nor does he save a damsel in distress.   He is simply a normal human being whose strong belief of zero tolerance towards terrorism ignites his bravery in order to get out of a bad situation and save himself, his family, and possibly the United States of America.
At the beginning of the film one would not know that the main character would turn out to be the hero.   The movie starts with this person on their journey home after making a speech in Moscow.   However this relaxing ride home is quickly ruined when a group of Russian hijackers disguised as news reporters take over the plane.   This person is quickly rushed to an emergency pod so that he will be safe but what no one knows is that he never went inside but rather stayed on the plane to save his family. The terrorist start to kill one hostage every half hour. So this person figures out a way to free the hostages by giving them parachutes and almost one hundred people are saved.
He realizes that these terrorists are holding his wife and daughter. So wasting no time he sneaks into the plane’s engine room tries to locate the line that would cause the plane to release fuel. He succeeds in doing so and the plane starts to lose fuel rapidly assuming that the plane would have to land. However this is a special plane that it can actually be refueled in the air. Which ends up happening. By now one could have figured out that the plane is Air Force One and   this person is the president of United States. In an attempt to save his family the president is quickly captured by the hijackers.   They want the president to call Moscow and release General Redek because he has the power to...
