The Wife of Bath
I choose the Wife of Bath as my favorite character because she is a very strong woman and doesn’t care what people think of her.   I admire her for seeking out for power and control in her relationships.   Also, her determination to be dominant is inspiring because a lot of women in her time were ignored and had no rights.   I found it interesting that being full figured, gap-toothed, and wearing quality clothes was desirable to men back then.   Men loved her sensuality and lust.
I would enjoy traveling with the Wife of Bath because she is a very confident woman and she would know how to get from here to there.   She is strong-willed and wouldn’t give up if we lost our way.   She would take charge and make sure traveling was going smoothly.   My friend Sarah reminds me of the Wife of Bath, because she is good with directions and never gives up.   She would remain calm in a stressful situation.   Also, my sister Janine reminds me of the Wife of Bath, because she loves to travel and knows what she wants.   She’s capable of achieving her goals and being in control.
The Wife of Bath might be described today as a gold digger.   She married old , rich men and they would pass away meaning she got all of their money.   Her dominant and controlling behavior might be a turn on to modern day men, but others might not like it.   The Wife of Bath is different to modern day women in her appearance.   Men in today’s society do not find full figured and gap-toothed women sexy.   Men find thin and pretty women attractive.
