LIFE

[pic]

I’ve chosen life as my main idea. There are many words that can relate to life. I’ve chosen four words that I believe have the strongest meaning to it. Life is a present given to us to cherish and honor. It is a gift from our Lord, to accept and value. Life starts the moment we are born, our birth. And, it continues until it is terminated by our death.
I’ve presented four words that are associated with life. I used a typeface to make them easy to read and understandable for the readers. As our text states, “The typeface is the trigger part of that tool, so to speak, because it determines the way the message looks to the reader - pleasant, pretty, messy, painful or threatening – and this in turn affects the reader’s reaction to the printed message” (p.97).
Readers should be able to open a text or a magazine and understand what they are reading. The typeface the advertising companies’ choices can make a difference on whether a book or a magazine is a top seller. They can affect the way people react to their books and magazines by choosing the right typefaces. As our text states, “Typography is a highly skilled art and plays an important role in shaping the way people respond to printed matter” (p.102). It has to be both legible and readable in order to be effective with its message. Legibility can be referred to as perception while readability can be referred to as comprehension. Typography needs both in order to convey its message. It also needs to provide visual comfort for the reader.
