Growing up,   experiencing your life and making mistakes, shapes how you as a person view
the world. It can not only be your experiences but also be based on your morals, and
where you grew up or the location you are living at this very moment that shape your
view. The three texts being explored are; The Hoop, by: Elizabeth Brewster, Zits, by:
Jerry Scott and Jimborgman, and Move East, By: Rick Mercer. Each will consist of either a
perspective that is influenced, by missing out creates their experiences, having
experience first hand about emotions, and where a person lives.
        ?The Hoop? is about a now grown man, who at one point was a young boy that missed out on
his childhood, and wanting to go back in time to when the world began. Alpha and Omega,
where one begins and finishes basically creating a circle. From his past experiences of
missing out on his childhood it shapes his perspective on the world. By feeling his life
has been cheated, because of him not able experience his childhood. For example, a person
who never made the volleyball team as a teen or child, might then try to live through
their own children, pushing them to do things they don?t want to do, just for the sake of
their own well-being never making the team as a child. He misses the past making him
unable to enjoy the present; his perspective was changed by those non-existent memories
of his childhood. He is now consumed with the thought ?that was the most real to all of
them.? He then says ?wanted time to move back, not forward? because to him his
perspective is that the present will never amount to the past. When you miss out on your
past you constantly find yourself wanting to experience what you missed. Experiencing
something or not in this case, it then shapes how you view the world and accept events
that take place in your life.

        In the cartoon ?Zits? the mother?s perspective on her son?s stressed out situation is
influenced by her...
