      The project will operate in the districts of Peshawar, Mardan and DIKhan while the breeding farm for development of beef cattle breed will be established on the site of the defunct Agricultural Engineering Workshop, Kohat located on Kohat–Rawalpindi Road at the distance of 15 Km from Kohat city.

6. Brief history: technical features project:

Demand for the food of animal origin is increasing day by day due the population growth, urbanization, income growth, changing consumer preferences, and export potential. In the wake of bird flu crises, the demand for red meat has significantly increased.   But the insufficient numbers of available slaughtering animals and indiscriminate smuggling of livestock to Afghanistan are the impediments in fulfillment of our red meat requirements.   Another important factor in that respect is the non-availability of beef cattle breeds.
