The critials often find themselves in a dilemma when decide whether the ability of judgment should be taught to the student. As someone said,” Education the mind without education the heart is no education at all”. Personally, I prefer to that school should not only impart knowledge but also the judgment.

It is evidently reason for some to argue that only academic knowledge should be imparted. To start with, in this increasing global world, standards are being set for education whereby these who hold enough knowledge often received greater privileges in terms of the status they are given, the money they can earn. Moreover, education imparts knowledge can contextual our understanding of the world we live in.

Even so, I do not believe school only imparts academic knowledge is the only characteristic; in fact, it is only a small part of education. An advantageous education must encourage the student to think critically and instill high moral values and principles. For instance, in no other time in ancient China have we witnessed such a drive toward that individual who has higher moral easily achieve success.

Besides, Child without high moral only get knowledge may harm the society. Instill high moral can raising children’s responsibility. Any way, the solution to adult problems tomorrow depends on large measure upon how our children grow up today.

Having considered the respective merits of both views, I think academic knowledge should be imparted. Despite that, I would concede that teaching judgment is also an important aim of education.
