Technology has had many impacts in our everyday life. We all benefit from the impacts of technology in many different areas. It really benefited Businesses and workers in the working areas.   It’s a necessary component of doing business in today’s world. Having the newest technology makes a company competitive and be very successful and offers new ways to achieve your goals.

In 1977, information based activities was so popular and it had about 47% employees in America.

Information technology (IT) has become an important feature in the business world ever since and   because it is so important, new technologies has become available for it.

Cell phones are one of the biggest improvements that have been made to IT. It made it so much easier for us to communicate. We no longer have sit in our office to stay in touch in the information loop with the new Blackberry phones or mobile PCs. We can communicate faster, easier and also it makes it easier for us to work outside the office. It’s like having your office in your pocket.

Telecommuting is another example of the improvements that we see today.   It is very popular in today’s working area. Productivity gains, reduced absenteeism, reduced employee turnover costs, reduced real estate costs, and reduced relocation costs are some of the impacts of telecommuting. Also the employees won’t need to worry about dress codes or workplace policies.

One of the goals of every business is to be involved with the global activities which can be done with the improved communication technology. We can enable people all around the world to communicate and collaborate through video conferencing, teleconferencing, faxing and emailing.

Video conferencing increases the productivity and saves the time that could be spent on other critical tasks. Also it saves a lot of money that money could be spent on other important things. for example traveling in to another country for meeting...
