                                                This I Believe

                                    Winter is the Best Time of Year.


This I believe, that when the fresh snow falls and covers the whole yard, it is beautiful. When the sun comes up and shines across the snowy plains it becomes a beautiful blanket, a picture perfect view of all the trees covered like painted white tips.
Then on snow days when the children are out of school, and are outside building snowmen, what a serene sight it is to watch all the families laughing and smiling with their noses all red and rosy.
How about those heart pounding, feet racing snowball fights? I believe that is the best game outside on those snow days and all the children are out of school.
I believe winter is a time to create many family memories, whether it is with your family or close friends, waiting as everyone has out something that they would like to put on the tree. Then the last touch on the Christmas tree, putting the fair angel on the top, making the angel a magical final touch.
When winter comes along I know it is time for giving to family and friends. I love waiting for the gift exchange and watching the children rip open the wrapping paper and scream with joy because Santa gave them exactly what they wanted. Then with a huge surprise someone hands you a gift. You have no idea who it came from. With watery eyes you open the gift and it is gorgeous. That’s where the wonderful memories come in. Not knowing who in your family cared that much to remember what you had said way back in April of that year.
I believe that winter is a time for snuggling with the person you love, holding that person close and showing that you care for them, whether it is also sitting on the coach watching a holiday movie on movie night or just falling asleep with their warm loving arms holding you and keeping you warm....
