For California State education system, every student is required to pass writing proficiency exam (WPE) for their graduation. On the contrary, students who don’t pass this exam can review their essays in the writing center, and get professional suggestions from professors. With these suggestions, they can improve their writing skills by taking the exam again or taking a universal 401 class in order to progress their writing level as well as college-level writing ability. As a result, California State students have enough writing skills to write their report in projects or in jobs.
