There is a continuous unsettled debate whether disabled veterans
should get preferential treatment over better qualified candidates who
are not disabled veterans . It is common knowledge that most employers
prefer to hire a complete person as contrasted to a disabled veteran
with one leg or one arm missing or a bomb-damaged deaf disabled veteran .
The following paragraphs will explain further why disabled veterans
should get preferential treatment over better qualified candidates who
are not disabled veterans .
BODY
Disabled veterans (Klein , 97 ) should get preferential treatment over
better qualified candidates who are not disabled veterans . In fact , they
deserve MORE preferential treatment because they fought for it . There
are seven reasons this thesis statement . First , there will always be
better qualified candidates who are not disabled veterans . Second ,
disabled Job applicants continue to face a high unwelcome wall because
many employers feel uneasy with regards to hiring disabled people .
Third , our veterans have made incredible sacrifices to protect our
country which is not quantifiable . In the United States , financial
statements like the balance sheet and income statements quantify the
investments in terms of United Stated dollars . Fourth , we need to make
sure our federal agencies are doing everything possible to make the next
phase of their lives significantly
easier . Fifth , veterans are proven winners and can get the job done
because Veterans mean business . Sixth , following their active duty
military careers , it 's important that we support our veterans (Nelson ,
59 ) in their next professional endeavors , particularly those who
sacrificed so much in service to this country . Finally , Because they
were disabled by the war representing us , the United States , It then
logically follows that we must repay them by giving them with something
that nearly equals their sacrifice .
