Dear Cooperating teacher:

My name is Chuck Graves and I am a post degree teaching licensure student at Capital University. I am currently pursing my licensure in AYA social studies. I plan to complete my licensure requirements by May of 2010.

I am a 2009 graduate of Ohio Dominican University earning a Bachelor of Arts in history, with a focus on American history. This will be my second field experience as I have already had a great experience in the Pickerington local school district , while working with a 8th grade US history class. I have also been a lacrosse coach for the past 9 years. My other works with children include working at various lacrosse camps and working a general summer camp through Lifetime Fitness Inc.

Professionally I am really interested in writing good lesson plans and implementing them. I also have a big interest in classroom management, and the best tactics to use. Personally I want to get better at the public speaking aspect of working in a classroom as well as learning to write good and effective tests.

In my free time I love to do anything with fitness. I am an avid weight lifter and I enjoy doing other exercise like running and riding my bike. I also enjoy playing and coaching lacrosse, which I have been involved with the sport for 14 years now. I have a wife who I recently married back in August.

I am really looking forward to meeting and working with you and learning from you and your students. If you need to contact me before hand feel free to reach me on my cell phone at: 614-657-0904 or via e-mail at cgraves@capital.edu

Sincerely,

Chuck Graves
