Roll a ball in imitation of an adult?
Precious tried to roll the ball back to me every time I rolled it to her. She may have pushed or kicked the ball towards my directions more than twice. She also motioned for me to get the ball if it passed by me when she rolled it. Precious was very at tentative to the ball as I rolled it to her each time. She made sure the ball did not pass her.
Look directly at adult’s face?
Precious will look you directly in your face at all times. She can keep eye contact very well for a 12 month old. She listens with her ears and eyes. She can follow your lips as you talk to her. She listens very attentively. Overall Precious will look you in the face as you carry a conversation with her.
Imitate gestures: peek a boo, bye bye, pat a cake?
Precious will wave good bye. She can play peek- a- boo with you and try to sing the song also. She will pick your hands up and try to make you play pat-a-cake. She loves to do all of these things she is very active when it comes to games. Her favorite thing to play is ring-around the rosés.
Feed self crackers (munching, not sucking on them)?
Precious can feed herself crackers and many other things. She clearly bits and chews all her food. She can feed herself all types of food. Precious uses a fork and spoon during breakfast and dinner on some occasion. She uses hand eye coordination really well when it comes to feeding and drinking.
Smile spontaneously?
Precious smiles all the time! She is an overall happy child. There is rarely a time when you didn’t see her smiling. As we played and completed my project she just laughed and played with me. She constantly smiled and she very rarely cries.
Pay attention to own name?
You can call her name at least twice and she answers with “huh” and looks at you. Precious knows her first name and her family nickname. She answers to either one that is being called. She has a habit of walking around the house calling her on name aloud.
