Every time you want a pet does your parent ask you, "Do you know how to take care of one?" I know my parents did and I always ended up not getting the pet. One day I decided to go to the pet store and I asked the lady at the desk if she could tell me how to take care of an animal. She looked at me and said, "What animal are you wanting to know about, because every animal has a different way it needs to be cared for." So I had to go home and think of what pet I really wanted so that she could tell me what to do. Well I decided that I would like to learn how to take care of a kitten. “ So I went back and told her that I wanted a kitten. She told me that the steps to taking care of a kitten were making sure it was fed and watered, making sure that it’s healthy, and to make sure it has a proper place to go potty.“
The first and most important thing a kitten will need is a bowl for food and water. It don't matter what type of bowls you use as long as it is big enough to hold the food and water. You can ask your parents which food they think will be best for the kitten. Once you get home with the food you want fill the bowl half full of food. You don't want to fill it to full or when the kitten eats there will be food on the floor and you have to pick it up. Make sure that you fill the water bowl up about three-quarters of the way that away the kitten has enough to drink and won't make a mess. Everyday you need to check the bowls to make sure the kitten has food and water. Should you decide to put the kitty outside you also need to put the food up high so that ants and other pets don't get in it or you can let the cat inside long enough to eat and then put it back out. However, there is more to taking care of a pet than feeding and watering it.
She said that the second step is you have to know if you want it to be in the house or outside. If the kitten is in the house you have to go to the store and get it a kitty box and some litter so that it can go to the restroom....
