“Eid   Mubarak”!!! Said my dad “Eid Kareem” said everyone. It   was   the   night   of   Eid   one of our   two   holidays   that   comes   every   year. Tomorrow was going to be a big day for us, to get ready in hours and to make everyone look nice. Every year we do something together with our family like go to the mountains or have a movie night.

The alarm just came off I was so sleepy I didn’t want to get up because I was too energetic all through the night but I jumped out my bed and started to walk to my sister’s room.   So we started the breakfast while my mother goes get extra things we need for breakfast and fabric for the girls outfits.   After waiting we start doing little exercises to keep us up, so we did jumping jacks and run around the house, after that mother came home with bags and bags of things. I went to wake up everyone, so we can start the big day. First we had to pray our first prayer of the day, Fajr. After that we ate our delicious breakfast.

Now all the easy things were done now the hard things, we had to get everyone dressed. Everyone was everywhere. I helped my little sisters get dressed putting their beautiful Jil-babs on. A Jilbab is an over garment Muslim women wear.   Finally it was my turn to get ready. I loved my Jil-bab it’s was simple but it was elegant, and the scarf I wore was mid-night blue with heart earrings. Every girl wore their scarf different so we won’t look alike. The boys took the longest but my little two brothers were the cutest ones out of all of my siblings and my other brothers looked handsome.

Finally we got out the door and we had to take two cars because of our big family, the boys went in my dad’s car then me and my sisters went to my mother’s car. The men lefted first then we started to get in. My mother started the car but nothing happened she tried again but nothing happened again. Everyone started to panic, we were thinking we might not make it on time so while...
