Bio-Diversity

Human being has reached today’s technology and agriculture thanks to biodiversity. Benefits of biodiversity are necessary to maintainig of human life. Plants and animals contained by biodiversity use in wide selection of fields such as medicine, pharmacy,   agriculture and livestock to provide clean water and air. Being huge, the number of these plants and animals bring economic benefits to country. Biodiversity stabilizes biosystem, makes world habitable, supports ecosystems, environment and health of people. A decrease in the number of biodiversity leads to air pollution, water pollution and soil pollution.
            Firstly;   the name of increasing harmful gases in atmosphere is air pollution. Air pollution has negative influences on living and non-living things. The gases caused air pollution deplete ozone layer, so that ultraviolet ligts arrive at earth and affect people’s immune system negatively. In addition, air pollution causes extinction of green zones, so agriculture and livestock are adversely affected.
              Secondly; water pollution puts all creatures’ life in danger. Protable and drinking water must be clean, forever. In seas, lakes and streams, due to the water pollution, all kinds of production decreases. Living creatures would have difficultly in getting protable water. Natural balance in aquatic ecosystem would be distrupt.
            Thirdly; in recent years, owing to the fact that people have upgraded modern agriculture and industrialisation soil pollution has emerged as an enviromental problem. Soil pollution has been causing the decrease of product quailty. Because of this, organic and inorganic matters in earth are decreasing as well. Consequently, ecosystem balance would be destroyed.
                As a conculusion; biodiversity is prerequisite for life. İf biodiversity decrease, some adverse problems wait us such as water pollution, air pollution and soil pollution.
