You’ll Never Know Until You’re in the Situation
Some people are so quick to say, “I will never get an abortion in my life.” I was one out of many saying this. Until people have really been in this situation, I feel as if their opinion doesn’t matter. The topic I chose for my last essay is over abortion. Abortion is a very strong topic in the United States. I chose this because I would like for people to know my side of the story from personal experience as well as others. After reading the article, Abortion (unknown author), I’ve learned more about the procedure than what I knew when I got mine. This article has broadened my eyes on everything and everyone’s view on abortion. It shows that people have all different reasons on why they want the abortion. Not just because they don’t want the kid, they just aren’t ready to be a parent, like in my situation. It’s not that I didn’t want my child, I got an abortion because of the life I was living. My baby’s dad was a dead beat, I wasn’t in the right state of mind to have a baby and many other reasons.

While it is often depicted as a two-sided debate, the abortion controversy is actually involving a complex speculation on biology, ethics, and constitutional rights. As I read I came across a lot of different names for people who are for, against, or in between the issue. There are people who identify themselves as, “profile”; people who are contend that abortion is wrong because it kills human life, which they believe begins at conception. “Pro-lifers,” are people that grant abortion.
