About two months ago, my mom and I went to look at some puppies that were just born. When we got to the house, there were seven puppies. The mom was a black cocker spaniel with one blue eye and one brown eye and the dad was unknown, but we thought he was a Chihuahua. The owner said he was white and smaller than the mom was. However, no one was for sure who the dad really was of the puppies.

As we were looking at the puppies, my mom handed me one that was black with straight hair and smoky grayish blue eyes; while she tried to get to another puppy. The puppy she was trying to get to had thick black curly hair and blue eyes. The puppy I was holding was whining and cooing like a brand new baby, which I guess they were. However, as I continued to rock him and hold him tighter he began to calm down and stop whining.

My mother in the meantime chose the puppy she came to rescue, the little curly black hair puppy. When she turned to leave, she saw my eyes and knew I wanted my little straight hair friend in my arms. She told me we already had three very big dogs at home waiting on us and two more dogs was just too much. You see we have a female lab and Australian shepherd mix dog, a male black lab, and a male shepherd and boxer mix dog at home already. However, I could not bare to think of leaving without my straight hair friend.  
Finally after a few minutes that seemed like hours my mom caved in and allowed us to leave with both puppies. We named my straight haired puppy Smokey and my mom named her curly haired puppy Roscoe. We call them the twins. Except for their black hair and blue eyes, they really look nothing alike. Therefore, they are fraternal twins in our book.   My dog as I said has straight black hair and is skinny and long, with pointy ears. My mom’s dog as I said has curly black hair and is kind of short and stocky. He has a pop belly already.
