A Missionary Call

God is raising up a new army of volunteers in our day. Across every continent are emerging “World Christians” – young men and women with world horizons, committed to “Exodus” lifestyles, possessed by the goal of discipling the nations to Jesus Christ the Lord.

“Hallowed be Thy Name, Thy Kingdom come” Matt. 6:9-10. Jesus teaches us to ask God to hallow His name and to make His kingdom come. This is a missionary prayer. The petition of the prayer He teaches is trhat more and more people, and more and more peoples, come to hallow God’s name. This is the reason the universe exists. Missions exist because this hallowing does NOT! God is calling us above all else to be the kind of people whose theme and passion is the supremacy of God in all of life. No one can rise to the magnificence of the missionary cause if he does not feel the magnificence of Christ.

God is pursuing with omnipotent passion a world wide purpose of gathering joyful worshippers for Himself from every tribe and tongue and people and nation. He will ask from us souls reached and saved from these tribes and nations not the communities we have developed, let us renounce the quest for worldly comforts and join His global purpose. If we do this God’s omnipotent commitment to his Name will be over us like a banner, and we will not lose in spite of many tribulations. A mission is not the ultimate goal of the church. Worship is. Missions exist because worship does not. What God will do is always more than what He has given us to do. He has given us a clear and simple thing to finish: to see that Christ is worshipped and followed in every people. We must do this with utmost focus and passion until it is finished!

Like a great eagle God is hovering over His people’s nest, stirring the young birds to spread their wings and carry the eternal Gospel to every nation. The task of discipling the nations are still before us. God will reveal the glory of His kingdom among all peoples....
