In conclusion, the novel Lord of the Flies shows that through Ralph"tms decent in to savagery, humans are inherently evil. And the brutal death of Simon, who had symbolized all that is inherently "good"tm in humans. Had the plane not crashed, these boys would certainly never have discovered "the darkness of man"tms heart"tm. The morning after Simon is killed, Ralph feels a little shame and yet laughs hysterically, will no remorse. This is evident when Ralph asks Jack to help with shelters and Jack replies "We want meat". break them so he can discipline them. At that time in the story, the power on the island is completely in the hands of Jack; symbolizing that evil has won over good. In chapter seven, Ralph cannot help but get caught up in the excitement of the boar hunt when he joins the other boys. Through the actions of Jack, Ralph"tms decent in to savagery, and the fate of Simon in the novel the Lord of the Flies, it proves that without laws and rules, humans cannot suppress the inherent evil that is inside them. The novel proves that men are inherently evil through the fate of Simon"tms death. His death symbolizes how a society without rules will eventually destroy any good that may remain, as the inherent "evil"tm in most humans will overpower the few people who are inherently "good"tm. This shows how much Ralph has changed. Initially Ralph blows the conch to gather the boys together. Lord of the Flies proves that man is inherently through Ralph"tms decent in to savagery.
