'Australia is a nation of racists'

Racism is a subject that poses a lot of controversy and questions on hypocrisy and peoples moral beliefs, in saying this it may be a continuous problem of society that may never be fully eradicated around the world or even in Australia. To a certain extent Australia is a nation of racists because of the way particular religions or races are stereotyped and portrayed in the media as terrorists and in general harmful people, because of the racially motivated attacks that have occurred recently in our society and because of our history of treating people from other cultures as second-class citizens. On the other hand Australia can also be seen as an accepting country because of the multiculturalism of our nation.

To a certain extent Australia is a nation of racists because of the way particular religions or races are stereotyped in the media as terrorists and in general harmful people, because of the racially motivated attacks that have occurred recently in our society and because of our history of treating people from other cultures as second class citizens. In the Australian media Muslims are the majority of times speculated against and shamed, because of the horrible things that other people from their homelands act. Indian students have been beat up and severely injured because of their race. Australia also has a history of treating other cultures as inferior races. For example, whenever you turn on a   show that has something to do with extremists or terrorists the bad guy just happens to be Muslim or middle eastern, and the recent attacks that have been reported on the news on just Indian students being beaten up and the perpetrators doing out of racial motivation, and finally the White Australia policy which is about keeping Australia free for the white man and the face that Aborigines were classed as fauna by Englishman in the past shows how racism was quite prevalent back in the past and how it is the same now.
